Coming from someone who is platinum elite and having stayed over 1000 nights out, this is one of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed at. I sat at the pool which is the furthest points from the road, it was extremely noisy. I requested a room away from the highway, the front desk person said the only one I could get was 4 rooms from the highway end of the hotel. She said it wasn't that noisy. Putting white noise on my phone to sleep, it still could not drown out the highway. Not sure what the front desk was talking about. And for those bonvoy members, no recognition upon check in, didn't tell me there was a concierge, so not a great experience. Went to the concierge to get a cup of coffee around 7:30 after dinner, they still had the coffee out from the morning. Not sure why you can't splurge and make a little fresh coffee for the evening. There are many choices with Marriot around Houston, I probably won't be staying here again.

This place is no way a 3 star. It looks more like a motel that became a hotel-- VERY VERY dated. I had to go to three rooms to get one that was even livable. The walls are stained, floors are scuffed. This places rating is severely inflated.

The front desk staff are good and attentive and the room are pretty good. Really bad experience in the restaurant/ bar. Service was poor. Jasmine had me wait for 10 min while she found other things to do. Walter pretty much ignored me and the food was barely warm when served. The smoking area is just outside the bar/ restaurant and it feels like people are smoking in the bar.

Great experience, enjoyed the tenth floor observation deck

I spent a week at this hotel while attending a course nearby. I recommend watching the sun set from the observation deck on the top floor if you can. Room was very clean and comfortable, and I appreciate that they had daily housekeeping service and didn’t try to use Covid as an excuse like most other hotels do now. All staff members I interacted with were courteous and helpful. The outdoor pool and hottub were a nice touch. I recommend taking a walk in George Bush Park, the enormous park behind the hotel, if you have time. There aren’t any stores or restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel, but that’s typical for Houston - rent a car and don’t rely on Uber.

The service I received from Antonia was incredible. She went out of her way to help me, but several other patrons this evening. The food was excellent and the concierge lounge was immaculate. I have stayed at other Marriott properties this year and this Hotel is the best. I hope the management team will acknowledge Antonia for her efforts.
